if you get a new one get a v8 you will regret gettin a v6 and i dont think the 6.0 will bolt up to the 5 speed cause the 4.8 has a longer crank for the 5speed i believe

i say get a new 4.8 auto and swap the motors and you will have one fast truck but you will need a trans pretty soon...

or **** guys i forgot to ask a what would you do..... get the truck... get a new truck and do what i want with it.... keep my truck i have 99 rcsb 5.3l..... the only reason i'm looking for a truck is mine is getting a little old..... now to some 110,000 miles isn't that old but these are Wisconsin winter years here.... the paint is flawless on the outside but the wheel wells and rockers are showing some signs of rust.....

personally i would get a new one and mod it or keep the one you got and mod it

That's a great looking truck, but I wouldn't go that much money on it. I'd look at a used Silverado SS for that kind of money.

Then again, the more I read about it, from the looks under the hood, and missing a center console, it's really not all that appealing.
All the under hood metal pieces are scratched and flat black. The under side of the hood looks fugly too.
I wouldn't pay much for it.
