Looking for high performance 16" tire

Just got the Toyo Proxe ST II's and love em. They seem to have traction as good or better than my Pirellis and wayyy more quiet. Oh and they look cool too. 
Now one question. I had my truck's alignment done a year or two ago and it seems just fine, but the guy at the tire shop was telling me that I should get a 4 wheel alignment ($90). In the past I've heard that after buying new tires you should always get an alignment, but I really don't want to spend the money if it isn't necessary. Any suggestions?

If you're buying new tires from my shop, we recommend alignment. Protect your investment. If we check your alignment, and it is not needed, then we do not charge for the alignment check. No risk that way. Ask your local shop if they will do that for you.

Your buddy is right, tires older than 4yrs. Think about this, tires are made from rubber, a living item. Dry rot becomes an issue; sun & abuse/ lack of care prolly don't help.
Anyway, I have some Grabber HTS's & I'm quite happy. But I gotta go thru foul weather (snow & ice). I already like how they perform in rain & dry.
Is this your DD? Do u drive it in rain?
General makes that UHP & if I didn't have my concerns w/. weather, I'd have tried them. They're an ultra hi performance design, & if 1/2 as good as my HTS's, I'd bet they're a winner.

When they do the alignment, or alignment check, there will be a printout of before and after specs. It will either need an alignment, or it will not. I'm not too sure how they could "do it anyway" as you stated.
You could always ask them to show you the specs before making any adjustments, if you just don't trust them.

Ya I like that idea AKlowriderZ71. What I mean by "do it anyway" is that they would just say that I need to do it and would then charge me regardless. Still I'm gonna give them a call to see if they can just check to see if it needs an alignment.
