Default looking for another truck.

Im thinking about picking up an 80s - mid 90s dually. I am having some difficulty finding them with a diesel motor. If Im not mistaken, they were offered with the 6.2L diesel, right? Are they just hard to come by, or am I retarded?

I am looking for a 4x4 quadcab in the area of $3-5K. Mileage unimportant, body straight and little to no rust is what I am looking for. Anyone know of anything?

They came with 6.2 until the early 90s and then switched to the 6.5 version of the same foundation. They're great engines but the vast majority of the heavy duty vehicles came with the gas engines, the 6.2 really never caught on, they we good for their time but somewhat unconventional.

They aren't huge on the power scale either but they pull a 3/4 ton suburban around with no trouble and gets 18 mpg mixed in the read world. Wouldn't think it would pull a crew cab daully and a 6k+ puond truck on a trailer very easily if that's your intention with it though, most people go with the big block trucks for that. You could always do a Cummins or Duramax Swap.

Here is a 91 3/4 ton Burb with a 6.2 and only 62k original miles, was a local fire truck up here in Healy, AK until recently.

I think they're hard to find since they've been beat to hell and back for 20 years

How about this sweet ride? Its no crew cab but for such a quality piece, you might change your mind.

I do like the phantom body style as well, but I think i want diesel. I would be selling my bike to get the truck, so reasonable gas mileage is high on the list. If i find the right one, I might even get rid of the SSS, not sure though. Really just tossing it around. Getting bored with the truck...

If you sell your bike and truck to get a late 80's-90s gm diesel dually, yes.

Drop $3-5k on your truck.
