Just a heads up guys.
1st - After getting my transmission installed I fired it up in the garage and started filling fluids. After a bit of running I noticed my fans not kicking on. Got to checking into it and found 2 bad relays. This is the harness that Nelson used to sell. If you're running them may want to check them out.
You can see the heat has gotten to this one.

Replaced them with some Bosch relays I had around. I'll probably go in and re-wire the bases at some point to be safe.

2nd - Last time I cleaned my air filter I noticed some plastic pieces laying around in the bottom of the cup. There was also plastic pieces inside the air filter. If I hadn't had the MAF still in the intake chances are they would have made it into the engine. It's an Airraid CAI and I'm not blaming it entirely on the product but there does appear to be a reaction to the air filter oil that made it fail. They did do an outstanding job getting me a replacement part. Shot them an e-mail, prepared to buy it 12/23. They shipped me the part 12/24 FOC. It appears to be molded in a different material.

Glad it worked out Roger. I know some co.'s market a dry filter. I've heard mixed reactions on what oil does to a MAF sensor & so on. I forgot if it was on my bro's Volant or my Vararam, but I noticed the rubber on the end of the filter had wear spots for lack of a better term. Little pieces look like they flaked off. All I can figure is the oil on filter ate away at the rubber.
I may eventually just get a Green or similiar dry filter.
