Ok, I live in a small town in central Illinois. There is a guy that ownes a 2nd generation black ford lightning. He has installed a 6 pound pulley, GM mass air sensor, cold air intake, and had it tuned. What pissed me off about this guy, I was down at my buddys garage and he pulled up, (this was before he had it tuned) and he told us is put 380 rwhp, after 400rwhp. I wasnt a *** or anything to him, but the idot didn't install a tune when he put the pulley on so he couldn't understand why his truck was so lean on the dyno. Then he was talking about getting a Diablo programmer, and that is should fix it. Then my buddy looked at him and told him that I had a programmer for my truck (2000 silverado rcsb 5.3. Then the clown looks at me and asked me if I wanted to race, (I took it as a insult, becasue their is no way that I could keep up with him in a race) and the whole time he was trying to act dumb about it (which made me more mad.) Then he said, "Someday we might meet out on the street (Like some *** ricer comment). I took my truck to the dyno it put down 255 rwhp, I am going to install a Thunder Racing Old Man Truck Cam, that alone adds 40rwhp (Its already been dynoed with those proven gains) Then get a custom tune and headers. I know that still wont do it but if push comes to shove I want to spray his *** with a 150 shot of nitrous. Would the cam and nitrous be enough to shut down this idot? The plans of a built 4l60 and 3000 stall are also in the future as well. Along with eaton posi and 3.90s.

 

He also said that it will run 8.40 in the 1/8th, and said that he is edging out his kids Mustang at the track. WTF, the only mustang that could run with a modded Lightning is a 2003-2004 cobra, and I think that a cobra shouldn't have a problem in taking it?

 

Is the mustang stock??

 

I did this once. Sprayed the MF'er right in the eyes with it, then took off. He couldnt see and I whooped his **** in my pig of a truck. Them trucks are weak and run like crap when you blind the driver.

it works well. I say go with it.

 

I would think that the mustang is stock, becasue if it was modded it would kill it. But I dont know becasue the guy might be full of it. He also said that he spins his tires almost all the way down the track, (I know that is B.S.)

 

03-04 Lightnings with 6 lbs pulleys (that is a total of about 15 psi) can easily run 12.9s in teh heat of the summer. faster in the cooler air. 99-01/02 are a bit slower. maybe a tenth.

as for bench racing, tell him to shove it up his ***. lots of magazine racers out there. if you got the power, run him. dont get too worked up, he just sounded like an idiot.

stock Ls kill all GTs except for the newest 260 hp versions.

also if he is running a 6 lbs pulley and no aftermarket chip or tune....then he wouldnt get past the first wot blast. the rods would snap due to detonation. diablo chips work great for ford blower motors. unlike the pos they are for the GM camp.

 

put in your mods and spray his a$$, oh lose the friend, don't need the kind of friends that tell secrets under the hood, if he is going to talk use him, tell him that it is only 50 hp shot when it is really 175.
i know how it is about the friend i already have people asking me if im blowen.
i have taken the blower off till i can get it tuned, so now when i pop the hood and show everybody he looks like he is talking out of his a$$
