Just a FYI

I had read a thread earlier last week or so about the steering shafts clunking around on our trucks. Mine was doing the same thing. The thread had said GM was no longer greasing them but replacing them with a new shaft completely for $130. I took mine to the dealership and they wanted to charge me the same...(seeing that mine was out of warranty) I asked for a GM rep. Raised a little hell with the rep telling him that if this is a common problem then it should be a recall, but if they are not making it a recall then they should fire every damn one of their engineers for coming up with that design seeing that none of the early models trucks seem to have this problem. Told him that GM is just wanting to penny pinch instead of keeping their loyal customers happy. He then said, "I will get your truck directly to the mechanic and have it replaced for you free of charge". So they changed mine while I waited!....DAMNIT! sorry so long...just thought everyone would like to know

yeah it is sad to have to bitch at someone for someone else's mistake, but he had the power to authorize it, so I did what I had to do...and it worked...I'm sure those new shafts don't cost them hardly ****....and to want $130...Give me a damn break!
