It looks good already, cant wait to see it dropped. Did you have to order the cal-tracs for a dropped truck?

It has a 1.5" factory rake.
The kit is a 2/ 3.5 drop.
I'm excited, but have no time to put it on or have it put on.

Thanks.
You can get it from these guys:
US Speedo www.usspeedo.com
They have quite a lot to choose from.

No. There is plenty of clearance for the standard Caltracs plate. The standard version gives you two different positions to try. The low profile Caltracs plate only gives one.
The distance from the ground to the Caltracs' lowest point will not change with our type of drops for our trucks.
If you know how the hangers and shackles lowers our trucks in the rear, you will understand why I say it will not effect the ground clearance of the Caltracs. I didn't understand it until I actually had the lower kit in my hands.

I ordered my Caltracs from Calvert Racing. They are the ones that make them. They are pretty nice guys to talk with. I paid full price, but the product is of high quality.
The only other way to get them cheaper, would be doing a group purchase, or waiting for Tbyrne to place them on sale (Not sure if they ever have sales on them).
It depends on how low you want to go. I like 2/4 drops. I would only find the sway bars usefull if I were looking for a corner carver, but I like the 1/4 run, and that's how I'm setting mine up for.
Just make sure you use hangers and shackles in the rear. Not just the shackles. With both, they keep your pinion angle almost the same as it was before the drop. Anymore than a 4" drop in the rear, you will need 2-3* shims to correct the pinion angle. Also, don't froget to get the carrier bearing braket that helps the angles on the U-joints. Most kits do not come with it.
I had to ask for it on my own when I ordered the McGaughy's rear hangers and shackles.
On the performance part of getting your ECSB 5.3L to turn out a 14.2 or better in the 1/4, just talk with TXsilverado at this web-site. His somewhat high mileage ECSB N/A 5.3L is turning out a 13.8 in the 1/4. He has a stock block, cam, and heads still on it. He's aiming for a 13.5 in the 1/4, then he will be doing some bigger mods.
He would be the man to talk to for tips on getting your ECSB 5.3L dipping into some low 14's or high 13's, with the stock block, cam, and heads.
He seemed to find the right combination of parts to make it happen!
No NO2, FI, or turbo needed!

Jim
