LS is really all I need right now anyway. Although if I could afford the lt I definately wouldn't turn it down. John, did you see my other post about the headers?

I just priced a D-Max out at edmunds.

ECSB 4wd $35K was invoice and I don't think that included the Truckfest bonus.

I might be able to afford one afterall.

like i said, i almost jumped on this one truck for 30,900 with my GM card (1000 i have saved up on that thing). it was insanely good of a deal. sticker was 40.500 bucks. but with a wedding coming in a few weeks, i didnt want to be in a jam, so i am waiting untill the end of june. i might be glad, because i think i want a club cab now.

the LLY is detuned in first gear. it only makes 520 ft-lbs but 2-4 makes 590 ft-lbs (boost isnt held back). so that is why 2nd gear flys. also the gearing is over 3.xx in first gear so getting out of the hole should be easy....then there is the transbrake launches! lol. our 03 that makes 800 rwtq - um, 1-4 i can completely roast the tires and lay the smack down nearly any big truck out there.

Hehehe, the LLY is way better to drive than the LB7...I made a post here about 6-8 weeks ago when I drove one too. Throttle response was much better with that LLY and it just was faster. The Allison also has some extra "G" solenoid (not spot) to help with low RPM line pressure.

I'm waiting until about August to order it now, I know I know...I keep waiting for the next better thing to come available. It's the same but I've got to have the sunroof! Then I have to wait for like 6 weeks to get it after I order it...right about delivery time for my b-day. yay!

So what's the scoop with getting these trucks for so cheap? What do I need to do? How you get them to go under invoice? I priced mine out and it was $48K MSRP.

I priced out a ECSB LS 4wd with leather bucket seats, the nice radio without XM, no Onstar, steering wheel radio controls, and the nice wheels

It came out to $36 with the $3500 bonus(didn't think that was added yet in my post above) Then take the extra $1000 off that GM offers.

Hmmm....I just got the same price for a LT in the same configuration.

Going to www.chevrolet.com to try some other combos.

all i did was do a request for GM Buy Power i think it is called. it is right on their site. sends it to all the internet salesman (all i will talk to). no BS'n. you can tell them you want to pay XXX over invoice, otherwise, i dont want to talk. i had 2 salesman in my town (big town though) that were willing to sell at invoice and keep the rebates. i have bought my last 2 GM vehicles this way. i wont dare walkin a dealership and then try to negotiate. internet salesman search the state for what you want and are willing to make a low profit sale. they also know you are an informed buyer. MSRP means NOTHING nowadays. our 41K dollar 03 Duramax truck was 33K before tax/tag/etc, our 03 Yukon was 41K paid 29,900 (with 1K of GM card) before tax/tag/etc.

like i said, dont **** with the reg salesman, they are for people that are willing to pay a lot of money lol. internet salesman are hungry.

Can you do the Internet Buy Power for GMCs also? That new Chevy front end makes me wanna :puke:

The Cheby front end with a billet grille isn't too bad. Looks kinda tough like that.

I like the GMC grille that's on my Dads truck because he got a Denali "like" insert for it.

Internet salesman are the way to go huh.
