went down to lone star chevrolet yesterday to see if i could get some parts for my tahoe (roof rack clips, side moldings, check into the drop) and the parts guy at the dealership was basically the stupidest person ive ever met. let me set the scene real quick
me - "umm i needa know the part number for the side skirts on a joe gibbs tahoe"
him -"umm joe gibbs' trucks only come in black"
me-"..what?"

unbelivable (sp) anyway, i called up joe gibbs and talked to a guy named ed. if u ever have any questions about a joe gibbs truck call them up, he knew absolutly everything about them and he aknowledged that every dealership has no idea what is what on a joe gibbs truck. Very helpful. small rant.

 

Most people at dealerships are totally retarded. It never ceases to amaze me. I brought my truck in for an oil change and they about ****. "Its got a supercharger". "Ya, I know" I said. "Well we dont do stuff like that". "Stuff like what?? Just change the oil, Spanky". "Have you spoken to the Service Manager about this?". "No, my dad is the Fleet Manager. Does that count for anything??" I asked. "Youll have to get it O.K.ed". "Forget it dude".
On my way out one of the techs asked me if it was faster than his SS Silverado.

here is a link joe gibbs trucks. I like them. you get a regular cab 5.3 with the sport package (includes the magnacharger) for $34859 with a 75000 mile warranty. Not bad if you dont want to build your own.

 

and from what I've seen, expect about 10k markup on top of that

nice truck for $34k, ridiculous ripoff for anything over that IMO

 

I agree. if you could find a dealer that wasnt marking it up it is cool truck for the price.
