Default Intermediate Steering Shaft

I have been reading on the steering shaft problem, I also have this problem, but my truck is way out of warranty. I found a couple TSB's and part numbers for the lube kit, but does anyone know the part number for the new intermediate shaft? What about running a borgorson (sp) steering shaft, would this cure the clunk?

Just had mine replaced last week (under warranty). Here is the Part# & Item right off my invoice: 88963611 - Shaft, Steering Intermediate.

I had to wait seven weeks for it to come in, but it stopped the clunking. The latest TSB tells the dealers not to do the lube any more, but that may be just for warranty cases since it's just a band-aid fix.

Warrenty Wont Pay For The Lube Kits And We Have Been Waiting For The Shafts To Come In For About 2months.
