Always do as much diagnosing as you can BEFORE spending money. While it never hurts to replace old parts with new, it can get expensive real quick and still not fix your problem. I would definitely have it logged to see what the timing is doing. Get a fuel pressure gauge on it to watch that, then you will have a much better idea of where your problem lies. Then your money will be better spent on the proper parts to alleviate your problem.

I will try to do the cheapest thing possible, and go from there. I'll start with the fuel filter and go from there. Is the sea foam really worth doing. Truck runs fine just got that one issue when its a cold start.

I have had vehicles that would barely run, smooth out and run perfectly afterwards.
