this is how factory racing was in the begining, alum.bumpers, fenders, braces, titanium, they did it all in the name of speed. also take your stock seat out for a fiberglass one .take off your mirrors too. borrow a fiberglass hood from a bud, hell dont forget your front bumper.

Seems like a lot of work just to shut down some ricer ***.
I know its a pride thing, but what if you lose?!?!
You may want to check track rules before taking too much off.
I wish you luck man, I'll pray for you, and put the hex on him!!!

Without further driveline upgrades, is it really worth the trouble. If you two go out and run your best numbers in comparison, you'll probably need to lose about 1,100 lb to have close E.T.'s and that may make the truck unsafe as well as uncomfortable. Seems easier, or more fun to just upgrade the truck, or get a car to race a car. I think quick trucks are neat, but trying to build one to compete on the dragstrip with a car is more trouble than it's worth imo.

You could make it simple though, and tell him to race while towing a 5,000 lb load instead!

i just pulled some weight and will see what happens.

chances are when the real deal race goes down i might have a bigger motor. eitherway it's all in fun and yea, i aint doing nothing unsafe. it isn't worth it.
