Default I have a weird fluid leak?!?!

Noticed something dripping from my truck yesterday after a quick trip to the gas station.
The fluid was dripping from the cross member under the oil pan on the passenger side and a little spattering on the passenger torsion bar too.
Its light pink in color, not red like trans fluid.
I looked over the trans real well and found nothing, obviously not the trans because the fluid was dripping in front of the trans.
The fluid is too oily to be coolant and too pink as well.(I think)

I'm thinking its power steering fluid. I checked that out yesterday and found it was a lilttle too high even when cold, so I sucked out all the fluid with a syringe.
It looked like hell, all dirty and ugly like old brake fluid. Not really light pink as it looked on the ground.

I traced the leak back all the way to some of the steering components on the passenger side, but still could not see where its originating from.

Could this be front diff fluid for the 4WD? What kind of lube is in there?

My power steering pump is kind of oily like it has leaked some but never enough to drip a puddle under the truck.

All the trans lines into the radiator are clean too.
The reason it might be dripping so far back is probably blowing back under speed.
Any ideas guys?

Guess I should not have called it a weird *** leak!!

I still can't find where its comming from!
Looks like it may be the power steering pump since its the only thing with residue on it besides the front diff.
There is fluid in some of the protective wire casing, like its dripping through that and finding its way to the lowest point.
We'll see I guess, I replaced the power steering fluid with a clear fluid so if the drip turns clear thats it I guess.
Anyone know what type of fluid is in the front diff?
Thanks for the humor and replies!

Cool

The front diff has 80w90 gear oil and it should be a honey color. I think the front diff fluid gets dirty after time so it might actually be a darkish brown to black color.

IDK sounds like coolant to me. It is pink and is oily or slippery to the touch. Take the top off the coolant header tank and take a wiff. See if it smells the same as the stuff that is leaking. Check any fittings going into the tank.

Good luck finding the leak.

I just had a similar leak twice. Once was coolant that was leaking from the hose that runs in and out of the bottom of the throttle body, the second time was the main hose that comes off the top of the radiator. Good luck. I hate finding random puddles under my truck.

Cool

Transfer case fluid is either Dexron III which is red or if it has Auto-Trak II fluid it is blue.
