Default Huge water leak

So I thought I had a small water leak that was getting the carpet damp by the drivers side rear corner of the cab. Take the panels off.......there are puddles of water...large one in the rear corner, all down along the side where the wires run, and all underneath the carpet. Everything is drenched after the truck sitting in the rain yesturday.

I have a feeling it might be the rubber grommet in the door jam that the wires run through, as I've had to take it off to run speaker wire, and it was a little open on the top. But if water got in there, I dont think it would be able to get to the carpet and everything....its like that area is closed off from the floor/side area....I'm pretty sure the leak is around the firewall/corner area

Any suggestions?

Its kind of hard to say b/c I would have never realized it was wet before b/c the carpet has plastic/rubber backing - and If I hadn't been messing with this audio stuff I wouldn't have realized it was that bad. But I would think that it would mildew and I would have smelled it, but I dont know
