How many miles are the 5.3's good for??

My crew cab has 145,xxx and it's set on kill mode everyday. Castrol gtx 10w-40 with pf61(e) filter also. Drive hard!

my first 5.3 truck 99ecsb z71 292,000 when i sold it , ran into the guy that bought it from the dealer asked me when i rebuilt it and that it runs excellent, my reply was thats all original and beat every time i drove it

My 5.3 had 190k when I pulled it, motor ran good prob could have used a good tune up. The good thing is 5.3s are cheap I payed 400 for my 6.0 and could have picked up a 5.3 that looked way better than the lq4 for the same price. I think the biggest thing is check how tight the truck is how many sqeek and rattles.

got my truck two years ago had 45k on it now has 93k still ticking my dad has and 04 original owner with 222k and still kicking. as long as its driven normal it will last if not see u in a few months. when u ready for that 6.0

yeah this tends to be a far weaker link in these trucks...the motors are pretty tough

no doubt. I have been through 2 trans in about 50k. Original trans messed up after i sunk it. Second one was out of a 04 or 03 and it just shitted on me driving one day, then i got another used one and so far its holding up. Need to change the oil to keep them alive.

mine has 332,000 miles and a 150 shot on it. Ive prob put 25 15lb bottles thru it.
