8:00 this morning the horn of my 01 2500hd went off like someone was holding it down and wouldn't stop! I had to disconnect the battery in order to get it to shut off.. Does anyone know what could cause this? Nobody was around the truck when it happened..

 

the cassette reel, i forget what else they call it, but its the thing inside the steering wheel that controls the buttons, horn airbag etc. i think its called a clock spring. 99% thats what its gonna be. i used to be a tech and ive seen plenty of those.

Relay contacts could be stuck...............

 

mine did the exact same thing, changed the relay and it fixed the problem!

 

oh yeah, the relay. if its not one of those two, then it would be the first time.
