Default high rpm speed

when the truck shifts into 3rd gear its like it falls on its face, even after getting a live tune with allen nelson. just raced a lightening and held him off pretty good until i hit 3rd!! What could be causing this???

i think it might be the converter, because its falling from 6500 shift point to 4500 entering 3rd. also what has been the falling off point on the ls1 intakes, i know they are the same as the truck maybe just a lil better. isnt it like 5800 or 5900

Hmmmmmm....that's a good question dude. Just from what you've posted, I'll have to say the converter too. I'd say you may need a diffrent stall speed.

I've often wondered why TCI's converters fall all to hell after very minimal usage.
