Question HID's in a Denali housing???

Anyone every tried to use a true HID bulb/light in a Denali projector housing? If so...did it work?...did the longer bulb fit? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I had Halo Proyectors in my truck. You know the ones with a ring lit up around the housing? Yeah those.

Anywho....i bought a set of 8000k HID's and wanted to do the same thing youre asking but....on the Halo housing very noticable was a decal reading "not for HID use".

Meaning it could melt the housing. Well i ended up removing the Halos and installed the stock ones with HID's.

Halos & Denali are the same housing, only Denali doesnt have the rings.

HID's put out less heat than a halogen bulb though, so how would it melt the housing?

Just installed HID's in my Denali style projectors they fit and work great.
Here's a pic of where I mounted them and a pic of them working.

Yes, they will fit... They will work great for a Halogen projector too!

Thanks for the info! Thats what I was wanting to find out. I have HID's on all my other vehicles, but not the wife's Denali. The lighting on those things suck in comparison. I now plan to put a set of HID's in it! Thanks again.
