I may buy some HID low beams, but I don't want to buy the projector lights. Some people have said I won't get as much light as I wil with sylnania silverstar. is this true? I am doing the upgrade because I want to illuminate the road better.

 

HID's are way way brighter than Silverstars, even in the stock housings. Use this when deciding on color- 4300k is like the factory BMWs & Mercedes, 5000k-6000k has a light blue tint, 8000k even more blue. The 4300k or 5000k will have the best light output.

 

hid's will be way brighter. My buddy's coughfordcough is blindingly bright. The only issue is that a "kit" is illegal, whereas a "retrofit" (using hid intended projectors) is just fine for street use.

 

I have the xesighting systems kit on my truck which is the same as the xenarc kit it replaces the whole light assembly as is street legal plus you get a muhc better looking headlight
