Default HELP.....no low beams!!!

I was driving my truck to work last week while my Z was in the shop and all of a sudden my lights shut off. I was freaked out and pulled over. Everything else was working, just no low beams. When I pulled over at a gas station down the road, it looked like the headlights were foggy like the bulbs burned out. I was pissed, becasue I thought that Silverstars must be shitty lights. (I've had problems with them as fogs.) Anyways, I check for fuses and relays. Installed new low beams and nothing. Did some researching on here and came up with the headlight switch. Just spent $100 on the switch and no results!!! WTF!?!?!?! Anyone have this problem? Maybe it's the column switch? I did bust my steering wheel back in September....due to my temper. I'm going to re-check fuses, relays, and wires.

My friend, I say you have a bad Headlam Dimmer switch. Which is the lever assembly containing the turn signal switch, washer switch and cruise control. You've probably lost the low side. This could be attributed to many things. Such as if you've hooked up and fog lamps/driving lamps to the dimmer switch, using too high watted bulbs and etc.

The part number you need is 26100839. It retails for $433.00

My dad had this issue once on his 01 tahoe, he was driving on the highway at night and then the low beams just turned off. He checked it out on the side of the road and decided to smack the fuse box and them bitches came back on!!. At that time the truck still had warranty and it ended up being the fuse box under the hood that was shorting out and starting to melt. just a thought!

Yeah, my bud said it might be the wire under the fuse block.......but it was fine. He tested everything and found out it was the multi-function switch(column). So, Torque_Wrench was correct.........I'm glad my bud got it for his cost, $433 is a lot!!!
