Default Help!!!!!lq4 swap need help with powertrain decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I have a 1984 Chevrolet S10 Blazer I am going to do an engine swap in. I want an LQ4 engine unless someone tells me I can get more power for less money of course haha. However I am wondering if the 4l80e is my best choice or not for daily driving. The driveshaft is going to be custom and a guy in another thread said he got his for $400 which is right on target for what I want to spend. If anyone could maybe leave a company that can get me a price like that it would be greatly appreciated. As for the axle I am clueless, I want 4.10s or higher and a dual paulsy or a locking dif., but I dont know what is going to fit the narrow wheelbase width without cutting the axle and making it shorter which is out of the question. Please help!!!

Aren't the 1980s rwd mid-size car rear ends similar to an S10's? Instead of a 4L80E, put in a 6-speed manual.
