Ok we have had enough with our F-350 that its goin to get traded in very soon..
Just one question...... Who to trade with?
We are in a bind from Chevy and Dodge.
We are goin to get a 2500HD(dont know what the dodges are called, but u know what im talkin bout) 4x4, diesel, automatic, non dual rear wheels, crew cab, short bed.
We pull a 8klb trailer all the time. We want something thats goin to ride good, get decent fuel mileage, not tear up every oil change like the fords are doin. and want it to last a long time. They will get serviced as the manuals say. and only be cruising on the interstates, very little city driving.
So our choices are Chevy or a Dodge as it stands now..
Im a chevy guy, but as for the Cummins i have no complaints, and i cant bash it for nothing. but i like the ride and power that the D-max w/allison gives..
We are in a bind right now,,, so everybody give your oppinons!!!!!!

ford 3500 1/4 mile run 17.1
dodge 3500 1/4 mile run 17.4

Can't beat a frame of a Ford though. As for the deisel engines I'd be between Dodge and Ford. I would say Chevy and Dodge, but I'm not a fan of the aluminum heads Chevy uses on a deisel engine.
Dodge's Cummins has been around for quite some time now. That's one for the tried and true. I beleive they will be using a Mercedes diesel in 2007 or 2008. Some may frown, but Mercedes has been a great diesel engine from what I hear.
Ford should have stuck with the 7.3 Powerstroke, the 6.0L engine is good, but they seem to have quite a few injector problems.
Ford will be using a 6.2L soon for the deisel, body, & interior change as well. That will probably be in 2007 or 2008 though.
Chevy has had such bad luck with their diesel engines in the past. That has a lot to do with their lack in sales when compared to the Ford's and Dodge's.
Though I will stay a Chevy fan, do to their outstanding gas engines they make.
I drive only 1500 series trucks, so a diesel isn't an option, at least not yet.

There's a Family at the end of my road that has dodges, 4 of them, and they go through about 3 trannys a year. They all do brick and block work, haul allot everyday. they say the dodge pulls like an Ox. but has the tranny of a Poodle. The 1 son just got smart and got a flat bed 3500 silvy. If anyone is a true test of a vehicle these guys are it. They think taking the air filter "OFF" Makes it faster....
