Default Headlight problem

I cant seem to turn off my headlights on my truck, I tried the 3 click e brake, but that onlu works for the older body styles, and Ive tried the 3 or 4 pushes of the Dome button but that dosent do it. Ive tried that in other truck and it turned their lights off. What could be the problem?

The dome button trick doesn't work on the 99's and some 00's. The e-brake trick should work, but you have to turn the key all the way off, set the brake, then turn the truck on. You might have to press the brake down a little further.
There is a way to disable the automatic lights completely, I'll look up the instructions for you.

BTW, nice looking truck.

I disabled mine and made them fully manual in about 5 minutes...same principle as mentioned above. I located the wires in the BCM (under the driver's side lower dash finish panel), snipped them, and wired an LED in place of the photodiode, so the BCM always thinks it's daytime. (if you do it this way, make sure the LED is facing the right direction, or your lights will stay on all of the time). I used an LED instead of a resistor just because I wanted to keep a diode in the ciruit, and I wasn't sure what the resistance of the photodiode was, so I figured that an LED from Radio Shack had to be ballpark...it was.
