Default Hard starting?

I'm working on a buddies truck, 2000 silverado 4.8, hard start and ran like crap. i found the fuel pressure Reg. leaking in the vacuum. so i popped one in. now it runs great but is hard starting only on cold starts, 15-30 here, so i mean cold starts. Thought pump or injectors bleeding down, but i have a gauge on it for the last 30 min and holding at 50. any tips??
I'm a chrysler tech, so know a lil but dont have the GM scan tools.
Could the addaptive have gotten all screwed up on cold starts not sure how gm work.. any info would be helpful.

figured it out if anyone cares. Was not getting spark. When cold the ignition switch was not giving B+ to the pcm. If you wiggled the key it would fire.
