What do you guys suggest. If i crank it the first time it will not start, if i crank it a second time it will start up with a low idle then level out with in three seconds, It has new plugs, I checked the fuel pressure reg, and no fuel in the vac line so should be good im going to clean the tb and run injector cleaner through, but please give some input. tia

 

could this be a result of clogged cats? something keeps telling me the cats are clogged, i put my hand on the exhaust tip and its flowing but i dont think enough. i dont have a test tool either. but even when i get on it it feels like the exhaust is holding back.

 

my buddys 99 did this it was the sending unit and the fuel pump . not sending enough fuel . and he had his cats checked they were fine . but after the 600 bucks in parts his trucks fine now

 

right thats what im trying to avoid, the pump was replaced two years ago i got it from a guy in town it was used im wondering if thats the problem i ight just hasve to replace it again with a new sending unit but there 250.00

 

if it was a weak sending unit could i test it with a pressure guage?
