Default Had an SS for lunch

The guy was super cool,he has a street nova that runs high 10S.On his SS he has dual exhaust and FIPK.We went from a dead stop with an equal launch.a
At 60 i had 1/2 a truck on him by 85 i had 4 lenghts and he said when he backed out at 95 i had 8 lenghts on him.It was fun ,i told him i would share all info as to what parts to buy to make his run,he gave me his OE catback in exchange,i hope to get that installed later today.

Gonz - How did the SS exhaust install go? You like the sound? I sure do. Not sure how much performance you give up with it, but not having drone is worth it.

Hey BigTex! Do you think I'll gain any performance when I put the Silverado SS muffler and tailpipe on my truck vs the Tahoe muffler and tailpipe I have now considering the mods I have? I was looking to get a little more rumble but I was wondering if there would be a performance gain too, performance would be a plus but not necessary. Also, I wasn't planning on cutting off the OEM Y on my 5.3L, I was going to cut the head pipe leaving the Y and have another Y put in then run the two 2.5" pipes. I'm afraid that if I don't like the SS muffler (does it resonate? I would think a factory muffler wouldn't) I won't be able to reinstall the Tahoe set up if I cut the factory Y pipe off. I know the installation would be cleaner just cutting the Y off and running two pipes into the muffler but once I do, there's no turning back. What ya think?
