...on my way back to Phx from Tucson last night. It was a newer white quad cab Hemi, took him 3 times. First was from a 50 or so roll getting on the freeway. He got the jump on me and I started with my front bumper at his rear with him having a 1/2 - 1 second head start, slowed his pull, and started to reel him in. By the time we shut down at 105 or so I was ahead of him, but I don't remember how much. He stayed back for awhile after that, then came flying up past me, moved into my lane and turned on his flashers. I came up next to him again at about 80-85, he jumped again, and I started to reel him in when we came up on a car so I had to slow down. Went around the car, got next to him again, my front bumper at his front door and got a pretty even start at 85, I pulled hard, my rear bumper was at his front when we shut down over 100. He got off the freeway after that, and I went on my merry way.

Hmm good insights. My best 1/4 to date is 14.4 @ 95, and his truck looked stock. The exhaust was definitely stock. I don't know if it was 4x4 or 2WD. I just get excited when I run anyone, don't get much of a chance to do it.
I am the proud killer of:
BMW 328i
Honda Civic with fart cannons
350z with fart cannons
(assuming) stock Hemi
At least I beat them all....I'd be embarassed if I didn't. Oh well, good kills will come sooner or later.

Does a 14.4 @ 95 seem slow for my truck with the mods I have? I looked at the door sticker and it shows 6400 GVW, but I've never had the truck weighed. My track time was before I did the stereo and with !tailgate and !spare. Last night obviously I had the spare and tailgate in, plus the 150 lbs or so of stereo equipment. I'm trying to figure out if I'm running what I should be or if maybe there's a tuning problem that I need to address.

maybe that hemi was modded out a bit. who knows, iam thinking it was though. i run about those 1/4 times in the SS, and a hemi quad cab will just flat out loose pathetically. my dad owns one too, and he has it modded out slightly, and it does not even stand a chance. hell, my brothes 2003 silverado 5.3L with the mods mentioned below in my sig, can beat the quad cab hemis. iam really thinking that hemi must have been modded out a tad. maybe a wet shot?

For your mods your truck is near where it should be.
The SS Silverados with their larger motor usually only trap about 97-99mph with similar mods. With a stall converter you'd be into the high 13s which is about what the SSS runs. So I think you are on par.
Your truck will run about 5100-5300lbs raceweight depending on how much stuff you remove. Mine N/A used to go 4900lbs raceweight then it was 5250lbs after the turbo install and other things.
That being said your truck is about 9-10mph faster than it was stock so you're doing pretty good. Some of us can get into your ET/MPH range N/A and that makes it sound slow when you consider you have a blower but you're not running much boost so I think you're doing fine.

It was kind of nice to have someone aggressively want to race. He looked at me and had kind of a smirk on his face the first time we ran, then did the ricer flyby and put his flashers on in front of me, so maybe he thought that his truck with some mods would kick some ***. The only think I have that makes my truck look like it might be fast is the gauges on the a-pillar and the exhaust. I hope he was modded and I showed him what's up.
