H3 rear in a 2000 Silverado???

Default H3 rear in a 2000 Silverado???

Hey what’s up guys!i was dismantling a hummer H3 at work and noticed on the paper work that it has 4.56s and it’s a 8.6.Has anybody swapped the h3 rear in the gmt800???

I think it would be just as easy to swap the gear set.. If there both a 8.6 then all should transfer over. Of coarse one would want to double check the gear mesh pattern just to be safe

in case you're still curious:
from what i've been reading, the Alphas (5.3 v8 motor) had 4.10s. the rest (3.5 & 3.7 i5 motor) had 4.56s.
just be cognizant of the configuration... most are open carriers, but the Adventure package (called Off Road with Alphas for some reason) used electronic lockers.
