My drop shackles came today! Pretty sweet, they are the Belltech 6400's for a 2" drop in the back. Anyone have any tips on the install??? They also came with shims for something?

 

yeah , drop the spare tire so that it makes it easier to get the upper bolt out on the driver side shackle.

 

you can take a saw and cut the weird end off the bolts to make them easier to get out as well also a deep socket will work on them for and impact. they will go in pretty easy if you have a good jack and stands and an impact

 

cool i've got all that stuff, but where do the shims go? i think they are for the driveline.

 

The shims go between the axle and the leaf spring to correct the pinion angle.

 

yep im puttin them on tomorrow, I was going to do it tonight but my compressor took a **** and I need to remove my hitch.
