Talking Got my truck back...

GM put a new tranny in at no charge under warranty. I was sweating it since I still had my converter in there and like a dummy forgot to wash the rubber gibblets off my fenders from my last track trip. :sillyme: They did not put my Yank back in for me though but I need to have it flushed anyway cause I utterly destroyed that tranny! The sun gear assembly was welded to the input carrier causing the planetaries to come apart. The input shaft was also mushroomed on the drum, broke a sprag, and a few clutches were tosted. This was a lot worse than the first one I had replaced. However they said this was my last one casue it was obvious that it took some abuse from racing (he referenced the rubber onthe finders several times). So it looks like I am going to have to get it built before long. In the meantime I am going to go ahead and put a Transgo in with billet intermediat and overdrive servos. That should hold me for a while.

btw.. anybody know where I can get my coverter flushed? There were metal shavings all in my tranny when I looked at it.

i know of a place hear in texas. they dont flush them they clean them by cutting them open and cleaning and replacing any thing that is bad. then they weld it back together and well your converter is like new. if you cant find a place around you that does it let me know and i can get you the number and such. he does them for ford and stuff. he has a tranny shop and little converter shop out back. it was like a little over 100$ to have it cleaned and they replaced the bearings also.
