thats just it, i have a high overdrive, i run 2300 at 70 mph, but i am at 5200 at 105, i dont know what i do at redline, but if i turn my key it lets me go past 105.

i shift out of first at 40, second at 68 or so, and dont know from third. it hits 4th really hard so it should keep pullin. in the 1/4.

the 5100 is the actuall weight of my truck. without me in it.

i have a fiberglass bedcover and 200lbs of stereo equip. when the guy did the second one with nitrous he didnt purge the line. so when it sprayed, it leaped forward, and then backed off, and then bout jumped off the dyno when the air was gone and the nitrous hit.

that 500ft lbs is tough to get hooked, i have traction bars and they help alot above 20mph on spray. but anything less on most pavements and it turns to smoke. they are a godsend when i launch n/a. i hardly spin at all most of the time. without the tracbars i spin like crazy off the line n/a, couldnt imagine on spray.

i usually launch like normal and at 20 or so i spray. and that works well. it only spins for about 5-8 or so feet. when i spray at 20, so thats manageable.

I wouldn't reccomend going full throttle in 4th. You are just askin for a new tranny then. OD is a very weak band

lol, for you, i have a 5speed. with lockup tq converter. you have a 4 speed with lockup tq converter.

so i hit another gear and then lockup the tq converter after you have already locked up. so maybe it will hold it.

why are they guys over at DTW giving you grief over your numbers? i seen some crap going back and forth but didn't read to much into it. i have to say, i think a lot of folks over there are to wrapped up in what they have and hate on everyone else.

Not me, tall gears = bad for turbos

I've seen a couple people dyno 225rwhp with the 5.3L but that doesn't seem common and makes me question the correction factor being used by the dyno operator.

I don't know enough about the Hemi's yet to know if you are where you should be but they look like fun to me

i dont know man, they are just jelous or something. but when hemi777 post, they are just all over him.

if i had 17s and a aluminum drive shaft i would be hella fast. but i will have a aluminum drive shaft before long. my friend with a quad cab twisted his rear and broke the end of his shaft.(cheap flip kit) and im gonna get his drive shaft cut down and put on my truck then its on

that alum drive shaft is like 10#'s compared to about 30-40 for th steel one.

but i think you would benifit a lot by just a small increase in gear ratio.

its crazy, hell i get more flack from my fellow dodge owners then i do over here. ive always said, ive never been a dodge person, i just drive one. the long history of gm's ive owned should keep me in ranks over here.

i like it better here anyways.

Most of the guys here are pretty laid back and open minded. We tend to weed out the idiots

Going to 4:10s could help me a lil but I doubt it would be enough to compensate for my loss of fuel milage. I went from 2.73s to 3.73s in my T/A and I got maybe 2 10ths if I was lucky. That really sucked.

I am going to run the truck and get used to the power and see what RPMs I'm turning through the traps and go from there. the problem with gears is I have to do 2 sets. Front and rear. That's about $1200-$1500 and most of the time they are not as strong when you go to a lower set like that.

Besdies, until i get my power thing figured out I am not changes anything else to complicate matters LOL

i hear ya. if it aint broke dont fix it.

unless you drive a dodge. lol i just cant wait till i get a programmer. i cant get it to hit the gears, it misses all the time. the engine outruns the computer and it wont shift.

with a programmer i wont have to shift at 5600, and i can make it shift a lil harder/remove speed limiter, i would love that.
