First up ... late 80's/early 90's Mustang, black, grey flames on the hood, very clean! First stop light I played with him a little, jumped on it, the truck jumps, and no bite. We get lined up at the next light. I crak the window, and hear a little whistle, like a centrifugal blower, I think I'm had, but what the hell. It's green, he jumps, I jump, we go. I leave him off the line, and here nothing but motor scream. Apparently he had e-cutouts, cause he was loud as **** now, so loud I can't hear my truck over him. Now, I hear him getting in and out of it, I don't know if he's having traction problems, trouble or just toying with me. Either way, he starts to catch up with me, and I let out of it cause we were coming up to traffic. Car sounded REAL healthy. Call that one what you will ... I say I had him off the line, but we didn't get a good run.
I line up with a Dodge, no bite .. he tried doing a ricer flyby type deal, but he got whooped. It wasn't a Hemi though.
I spot a Harley truck and try like hell to catch up with him. FINALLY we get a good run. I let him get the jump off the light cause I have traction problems from a dig. Dead even until I get out of 1st, then I start pulling on him, run up to 90, and he's about a length behind me. This guy was a genuine dumb ***.
After the Harley truck, we headed home. BTW ... everyone I ran was alone in the car, I had my gf with me.
Another NBS Chevy guy saw me racing the stang. He stopped and asked what I had done. He was like, that SOB is running strong. I told him it was just a cam.

We don't know if he was modded or not ...
Mine isn't running very well either. If you will look at the injector problems thread ... there is more to it than just the bad idle.
sry I'm slacking and not up to your standards.

Years ago when I had a '98 Z28 A4 hardtop I ran a red 5.0 LX. All I ever did to that Z was a Flow (wow another 8rwhp maybe!) anyway I was leavin' a Krogers grocery store one night and saw a red 5.0 follow us out. I lived maybe 1 min from the store (apts accross the street). Well long story short we ended up running from a 20mph punch to ~90mph or so (just into 3rd) before shutting down. Put maybe two lengths on the car by the time to shut down. That 5.0 had a stock cam (I can tell things like this) and was a 5 speed but ran GREAT. Much quicker than I thought! So that's my 2¢ on 5.0s...many are slow but fast ones are often sneaky!
Harley trucks get just as much power as Ls can with mods. One locally lays down just shy of 400rwhp/500rwtq through a stock exhaust! It's got a tune, 4lbs pulley, K&N cone, and a 90mm MAF...that's it.
Again, beware the stock appearing vehicles!

Yes, the injectors are still messing up, I'm not 100% sure it's the injectors though, just 98%.
If I knew it wasn't running rich, no, it wouldn't be safe, but I can tell it's running a bit rich so .... I think it should be OK.
Now that I've said that, I'm prolly gonna go out today and nail it once and blow a hole in the #7 piston.

On the mustang ... I could hear a slight lope, and a little whistle under the hood. I knew he was making power when I heard the little chirpy whistle. I was a bit surprised when I left him off the line.
The Harley truck was running good, but mine was in one of it's spells, when it wasn't.

Nice kills!
I had a run in with a new GT last night. Bad results but encouraging
I laso had this guy in a brand new Dodge COMBINE TRACTOR! err I guess it was just a quad cab dually but jesus christ those things are huge! Obviously it was a diesel but he still wanted to play. I let him get up close to me (tons of traffic so were we in the slow lanes). He nails it from behind me so I wait till he is even then I nail it and shut him down pretty quick. I'll give it to him though. The thing probably would have beat me had I been stock.

LOL ... at least the Didge wasn't a HEMI, with that wire snip mod, it would have been over for you quick!
I saw a new Mustang Mach1 at the track oen time. I 'think' he was all stock, but I never talked to the guy. I saw him run a 12.7. The car was fine for a Mustang. There was another Mustang GT out there, that had a couple of bolt ons. He was running 13.2 or 13.7's. I can't remember.
