Well I finally got it done. I used a body shop, because when I spray painted the step side plates, it turned out like ****. I took out the rivets on the Escalade handles and took off the chrome, because I wanted them to come out perfect. I also smoothed tailgate handle and bezel before paint went on. I also got the chrome part on the mirrors done. I could not figure out how to get the covers off, so we masked around it and it came out really good to my surprise. I will get to install them tomorrow morning, and will try to get a pic. This one guy came up there when we were prepping and he said I should paint the plastic on the mirror instead of the chrome, since the handles have chrome, but I thought it would look like **** if I did it that way. Do you guys agree?

 

i plan on painting the ENTIRE mirror, chrome and plastic. i think his idea might be nice and yurs has already been proven (tahoe/suburbans come painted).

 

crazy4.8 I liked the Tahoe Suburban LT look so I copied it! I think it will look good like you are going to do, but I think if I painted all but the chrome, it would have been too extreme for my taste. I will try to get some pics. I hope you post pics of yours when you finish too, because I have not seen one with all of it painted yet.

 

just talked to zerog10201 and i believe we're gunna try to do this saturday morning. if his digital camera isn't fugged we'll put up some pics.
