Parish,
I just found a 6-lug 14bolt axle that I think would fit just right for me. Do you think that will be the strongest built unit or are you going to just convert to the 8-lugs, I guess it would be cheaper? Do you think a 14 bolt would hold with big power and slicks?

Also, as always....turbo update???

Congrats man! Just curious...what final drive ratio are you running? I guess I'm going to need 4.10s...with a 28" tall tire, I'll be looking at

64mph 1-2
107mph 2-3

and 3rd should be good for 155 or so!

Parish,go with the 4.56s they make the 2.48 first the same as a 3.06 geared 4L60E with 3.73s,but the difference in 2nd and 3rd gears is unbeleivable. You are never out of the powerband. Then when you get that beast to 1100rwhp you can use 4th to get a 150+mph trap speed to trounce the really big dogs at the track.Let's see 408,18lbs of boost and a 300 shot 1100rwhp sounds about right for a 9 second pass in a 4wd truck.

I'd guess reaction time. He got atleast a 1.7-1.8 60' on that 12.2 run.

I wouldn't change to lower gears on a turbo car. Most really fast single/twin turbo guys here don't run low gears. I've seen them go back to 3.27:1 and 3.08:1 gears, the turbo needs something to loadup against for speed. It's a different type of power than a blower or nitrous.

Read up on it before you do anything you may regret.

i will most likely end up with some 4.10's since that is what comes in the HD diferentials and that is what i will be atempting to install into my truck some day.

i have 32" tires and 3.73 gears, i am still in 2nd gear at the end of the run.
