Default good,cheap, LS1?

I know this is a truck section but A friend is looking for an LS1 to go in his Camaro. Any one know any web sites that has a good selection on used motors, and Will ship or if its not too far we will pick up. I know e-bay but any others? We have to find one before friday. If not any one know of any good performance parts for a 3800? Best bang for the buck will be what he goes on if we have to go with the 3.8. And yes we will be putting a baby bottle on it. Thanx guys.

Why the rush man? Getting an ls1 is a good way to go though, because stock it will run with a pretty modified 3.8L.

I have a friend that's been beating on his 3.8. He has nitrous like you mentioned, and bolt ons, and he runs what a stock z28 would run. They also make SC and cams for those things too. 6 banger camaros have 2 piece driveshafts and shitty rear gearing. Getting a 1-piece ds and lsd rear end from a z28/SS/t/a will help alot too. \

I don't know what he has now, but throwing in an LS1 is not going to be easy, especially by Friday. These aren't fox body mustangs here.

Fuel, Spark, motor mounts, pcm, exhaust, tranny are all huge issues that come to mind.

well a 6l is a good idea and I would agree on that too. But he doenst have very much money to play with right now and just needs a ride. He is gonna go with a junkyard motor for right now. Then build a motor to go in for the future. Thanx guys.
