The SS guys with AWD models do the cheap front brake upgrade using the 06 parts.

I think you're making it confusing. If you are saying the 2006 SS RWD pickups have the upgraded fronts, and the AWD don't, I can't confirm or deny that.

i was looking at Callahan Brake Parts kit number CCK0227 on amaz... calipers, pads and rotors for $180 priced right but after some time on google found out is really Power Stop and a lot of mixed reviews on the company so im not going down that road

just leaning on OEM parts unless some one can point me in another direction?

I've got a set pulled off an Escalade with like, 8 miles on it off the dealership. Guy wanted to brembo kit. Literally everything you need....pads, rotors, calipers, caliper brackets...

I bought a set of these from this same person a couple months ago. I want to say they arrived in 3 or 4 days, (great time for heavy brakes). They were packaged well. The pads weren't even fully bed in, (no marks on the back 1/3rd). The calipers look great. I don't think I left an itrader rating yet, but I would definitely recommend these over the powerstops, (especially when after shipping, these were more than a bit cheaper than the powerstops). I would definitely say I'm happy when I bought the same thing from the same seller.

i installed a set of rotors, pads and calipers that was removed from a 2019 Escalade that was upgraded to brembo before it was sold so up to 2019 will work

On another forum I am on guys are dropping the 2019+ half ton 4 piston front calipers on the 2014 to 2018 trucks. All it requires is a couple washers between the caliper and bracket to center the caliper on the rotor but otherwise is a bolt on affair. With that in mind the 2019+ trucks front brakes will work on these old heaps too.

They don't seem to be having that problem when using the brakes...

I remember why I stay off that site. There's a lot of very confident horse crap in there. At least in here I know I can search keywords by 1Fastbrick

The 2014-2018 use the same brakes as the 2007-2013. I look forward to seeing when someone puts this on a NBS, sounds like it should go right on like it is on the other models

It sounds like 18s will fit, but I want to know if 17's will fit. I'm still undecided about putting a PPV steels and tires on it down the road, and would love to know if those brakes would fit. I'd rather plan for the "oh ****", and the WTF moments in life. That PPV setup is rated to hit a curb at 40mph head on and keep going no problem.
