GMT-400 used up north dash plastic condition
Guys looking for a little info from those of you in the colder climates up north. I've got a 98 truck Im working on and need a dash for. Being here in texas everything is either totaly brittle and busted up already or crispy and falls apart when you touch it the heat here just destroys everything. I've found a few dashes in cold climates up north wisconsin new york south dakota etc where the weathers much more tolerable than this **** hole. But overall how do GM plastics hold up when they start getting up there in age. Trying to gauge if it's worth the gamble to buy one sight unseen or just stay patient

I've got a 2000 gmt400 crew cab and the dash is spotless, no cracks or fading in the plastic. In the winter it sees -40 below up here as well as high 80's in the summer. Also have a 1993 2 door fullsize blazer and that dash is still in perfect condition as well. They seem to do fine up here (alaska).
However my buddy took his RCSB gmt400 down to phoenix for one winter and left it there and the dash is just as you described.
