GM Supplier Pricing

What is this 'GM Supplier Pricing'? My wife gets this through her work. Is it employee pricing, invoice, or just a scam.

My buddies dad was looking at buying a truck. The dad gets GM supplier pricing. We compared our employee price and the supplier price, he got a better deal than we could and we work at the hellhole.
