GM redesigned 4.3 v6 LSX based????

I love GM 4.3L's. I have put a ton of miles on them. I have abused them in ways that shouldn't be spoken of with other motors in the room.
BUT, I will be the first to tell you there has got to be something better, especially for a full size truck. A box body S-10 with a 4.3L can be a blast in the woods or in the mud. But that same motor in a 4500 lbs truck, just doesn't cut the mustard.
I, as well, would like to see something came back int he way of an inline motor. They are just so hard to beat. Silky smooth, torquey, and sound like a mad bull defending it's ground.

When the current 4.3 of mine can no longer be used, I'm upgrading to a LSx motor.
I wouldn't mind tho if there was a revised V6 to look into, but I'm not holding my breath.
