I didnt have any attitude. I both respect and appreciate both of your advice but thats not what I was asking. I was asking if it fits and would work and thats all. If no ones ever done it before how could you tell me its wrong or it wouldnt be good. You gotta find out first. Maybe I wanna be the first one to find out if 4.8 flat tops will work or not, who cares let me try. Jeeze guys all I did was ask a question and when you guys said "why dont you do this instead" I say no and you guys get all pissed off at me. I know you both have a lot of experience and I respect that but downplaying a question that I have just because you dont like Hyperteuctic pistons and because I "should" go forged because the motor will be better isnt what I am looking for when I ask a question. If I asked well if it wont work then which direction should I go then yeah by all means have at me with your advice or opinions but if someone doesnt ask for that you shouldnt just give it to them just because. Anyways thanks for your help and your answers. Guess Ill just have to find out myself then.

i never said It wouldnt work. i would love to try it but im broke... like i said if you goty teh extra money or better yet see if anyone on here has a used set you can try...

or talk to scoggin dickey or one of our sponsors and see if they can get you a good deal on them, and since they do alot of performance stufff, they may have already had soemone do that swap, and they may know.

Long story short, we have not tried it so we do not know whether it will work.

Me and bigredexpress Just wanna help you guys get teh right parts the first time. We work for GM so we both can lookup parts for you, but please realize as a GM employee I have worked with Gm performance division some, but as for swapping one engines internals to another to see if it will work is not what we do.

We are here as a reference... If you get a part number from us, at least you know it will be right, and you can take taht part number and get it from one of our sponsors. They will take care of you.
