Default Gauge cluster repair?

I was going to repair my gauge cluster myself until my message center crapped out. Anyone use these ebay guys for repair on clusters? Do they do good work? Daily drive mine so don’t know about being without my cluster for a few days.

I have used digital-dash-solutions before. They also sells parts.

Not the cheapest but does good work.

If you're just not able to send it out, you can likely repair it yourself. The steppers and bulbs are pretty easy if you've got any electronics soldering experience. The message center going out is often just bad solder joints; you can reflow them while you're in there and bring it back to life.

My plan was to get a kit and do it myself but I didn’t know anything about the message center. If it’s usually just a bad solder, maybe I try it.
