+1 on "Might". And that's a huge might. I like having the room in a truck. I'm not fat but @ 6'2", I prefer a truck. Truck will be pd off next yr. too.

Its gotta have a v8.
I live where those are summer vehicles; not that I'd try, but not great in snow. I like V8's myself, & all of the ones u said, get mileage = to or slightly better than my truck. I would consider a new 09 Cobalt SS for all around gettin thru winter & mileage. I'll stay w/ my truck tho. That lil turbo puts out 260hp & is pretty potent for just a 4cyl.; better than many v8s were puttin out just a few yrs ago.

U beat me by $1. I pd. $90 @ $3.99/gal. I got a credit card just so I wouldn't have to hold back $ for gas. Now, stations are doing cash price only B.S. While I pd $3.99, w/ a cc, it would've been $4.07. So much for 3% back on gas purchases!!!

I thought about it, then I just bought a cheap beater on craigslist for $800 and it gets 30+ MPG, basically I just drive it on errands and to work... I figure it should pay for itself in ~ 6months....

Not bad for $800.....

nice purchase blackgmc!

i wont sell my truck cause its paid for! but with what im wasting in gas i can get me a little beater and it will equal the same as putting gas in my truck and that will save the wear and tear on mine, so that is the route im planning to go in the next month or so..

You boys in TX & other warm areas could ride motorcycles year round. Or even less costly, bicycles use "0" gas.

motorcycle sales have sky rocketed around here. I am working in a small town and 3 out of 5 people have a motorcycle they are riding part to full time.

I don't intend on selling mine due to the fuel prices.
Murphy's law knows me well when I go shopping.

I inherited one daily driver that gets 30mpg, and the other old daily driver....I need to get rid of.
Lots of peeps lookin, but nobody wants to take the time to put the new engine I have in it.
Somebody at the junkyard's gonna get a nice winter beater.

Noway I'm selling, I might look into a better beater car tho. I have a 87 Civic Wagovan right now with over 200,000 on it. It struggles getting up to 60, but I only drive it to work which is 12 miles one way.
