with the stop an go i get 400 miles on the tank (5.3 liter v8) but
on highway I can get 400+ depending how heavy my foot gets...
trucks aren't fuel efficient, buy them for what you want... not what you have to pay in gas prices...

My last tank (combined city and hwy driving) I got 15.9 mpg. Its been as good as 17.2 and as poor as 12.9 when they use that cheap oxygenated gas in the winter and I get after it alot.

I get 16.5mpg on I-10 cruising at 85 for a full tank. Towing a little over 8,000lbs i got 14mpg steady cruising at 75. Around town i get around 12-12.5mpg (cant keep my foot out of it)

On avgerage I drive mostly freeway but at 85mph plus and go full throttle at least 3-7 times a day sooo

I get 300-320 on 20gallons which = 15mpg

I'm in an Ext.Cab 4x4 with 3000 stall, big cam, headers, no cats, etc.

To truely measure gas mialge you need to track your milage, fill up the tank again and use the actual gallons of gas you put in the tank NOT what your tank can hold. I've never been able to put more than 24gallons in my tank and if I run till my gas light comes on I still don't usually add more than 23ga.

My '02 GMC (5.3L, ex-cab, 2wd) got about 18 mpg on the highway at 70mph when stock. Then I lifted it 7" and put 33" tires on it and it dropped to 15 mpg.

The look was worth the mpg

Not picking, but that has to look funny. 7" of lift and small 33s. Got any pics?
