Default fuel line

ok i had a buddy changing my fuel filter for me as i was doing plugs and other stuff, well he saw that the line from the tank to the filter was leaking. called every parts store in the eastern sea board haha, came down to calling chevy $378 for the line set i just need that like 24 inch part. anyone have a idea to fix it besides rubber or plastic line, also i have not took it apart yet what kind of line flare is on the tank side?

If you can re-use the ends and install a high quality steel braided fuel line you should be fine. I would even trust a good rubber line.

Congrats on the fix. I would have just used a new piece of line and a compression union(s). If it is the piece that screws into the filter, auto parts stores sell that replacement piece, then just use a compression union.

yeah i had to get a whole new line it was pretty bet up but i did buy the lines with the ends done. then used a compression to bring them together and bent it up to fit in the stock clips.
