Default Front To Rear Tire Variance For ABS?????

Hello

Question for the techy folks. Does anyone know whattype of variance is allowed in the ABS systems before it will throw a light? Wanna change some tires around again on my 2002 S10. Currently have 225/70 fronts and 235/70 rears. Planning to go up to 275/60's in the rear and down 215/70's in the front. Does anyone know or think this will make the ABS mad and make the light come on? It did it once before when I first did tires but the rears were MUCH larger than the fronts. At the time the light came on, fronts were 225/70's and the rears were 255/70's! Hope to learn something.

Thanks!

It's a compromise in safety to have any variance at all because it makes your ABS overly sensitive. Having the ABS kick in unexpectedly can feel like you just lost your brakes.

I wanted to (and did) the same thing as you but found a way to lie to the computer and do it safely.

Whoa, I am gonna have to print that one out! However, have no means of tuning anything. Later this year in the fall we plan to do a V8 swap and will need to head to the dyno for a final tune. Can't wait that long for me tires
