Hey guys, i havent quite yet figured out this whole free mods definition. So what exactly are free mods, and what types can i do to my 02 5.3 sierra. Thanks...

egr mod, drilling holes in your factory air box, descreening MAF (NOT RECOMENDED ), throttle body bypass (basically free).

I guess they mean deleteing it and putting a egr plate to block it off?

Heres a web page i found.. its very generic bc its for "ls1" but some stuff can be done for our trucks..

You can't do an EGR mod on an '02 - we don't have EGR. The throttlebody bypass and cutting a hole in the air box dropped my ET a whopping .05 second, but I still say it's worth it. Hell, it's free! I agree with TXsilverado, don't descreen the MAF like I did.

Basically you reroute the coolant around the throttlebody so that it's no longer heating it. You can do it by just rerouting the factory hose.
