My stock rcsb 5.3 is slow and only runs 15.9's, but f*ds are slow as crap. A buddy of mine "special ordered" a rcsb with a 5.4 and has spent well over a grand on bolt-ons and I can blow his doors off from any takeoff speed imaginable. I thought his 5.4 had enough tq to pull me from a dig, but it wasnt even close enough to be fun?

yea greg, i would be afraid for you taking that job. i would probably end up with sclerosis of the liver if i seen you more than once a year. btw, ingalls isn't a bad place to work. BigKID is employed there and so is about 90 percent of my family. however if you do reconsider taking the job, live in the cleave or ocean springs. thats my only advice.

oh yea, when my wife and i owned a navigator, it had the 5.4L engine. it felt pretty decent considering it was pulling a heavy SUV. granted it probably would have run the quarter in 17 secs or so but still it felt torquey. dunno. i guess thats why ford made the HD and L. i will send congrats out to them for those two trucks.

my old 97 f150 wasn't bad in first but sucked once 2nd hit, but i was very consitant and for 196k miles ran faster than a truck with less miles and weighed less, what was funny was it was the 4.6 with a flowmaster and it was faster than my uncle's 5.4. but i rented one of those new f150 when my car was in the body shop and it was so slow, slower than anything i have ever ridden in, it had absolutley no power. thank god i am getting a chevy now.

Come on down! I work here at Northrop Grumman/Ingalls. It is not a bad yard at all, real nice facility.

btw.. it's spelled Pascagoula.
