Flywheel(80e) problems common ???

Question Flywheel(80e) problems common ???
Just pulled the stock 6.0 out due to bad rod knock. Was planning on using damper and flywheel on the new 403, but found the flywheel to be trash. seems as though it is severly broken around the outside of the bolt circle. Bad enough I'm suprised I made it to the driveway!! Is this a common problem?? Should I upgrade, or was this a fluke?? Makes me wonder if excessive side clearance, and eventual failure at large end of rod, could have been from bad vibes out of the flywheel??

Heres my busted flywheel. Sounds like they may need to be recalled.

Are these stock flexplates we're talking about? I have a stocker on my setup and haven't had any problems yet. Been about 5 months since the swap.
