Fixed the "low fuel" light this weekend
wasnt hard, but its nice to not have that stupid light going on, i got some pics if anyone wants to see how to do it.

Yeah, the sender is riveted on, and over time the rivet gets enough play in it that the sensor lifts slightly off the circuit board and can't send a signal. I bent the sensor fingers with tweezers so they were touching, but a couple months later, it's starting to act up again.

I took care of mine this weekend also. Pulling the bed off the truck is much easier than I anticipated, stepside on mine. 8 21mm bolts, 2 t-30 tork for the gas filler and a plastic pop clip on the bottom of the gas filler was all that was needed to pull off my bed. Then it was easy to get to the fuel pump/ sending unit. I went ahead and replaced the whole unit since mine already has 160k on it. My sonoma quite at 130k. So for me it was piece of mind.
