I love the new wheels/tires. Cage is sweet too. Don't lower it. I like it the way it is. Besides, they'll make fun of you for lowering a 4x4!

I think the rear window will be broken out when the frame flexs when you launch.

I Thought The Bars Going Into The Back Could Run Under The Window Into The Bed That Is How The Guy I Talkl To About My Cage Suggested Me To Do Mine And Have A Bar Go Around Th Back With 2 Kickers Coming From Side Bars To The Middle Of The Truck In Back Of The Seat.this Would Also Allow
U To Put Cage Right Up To The Back Wall Witch Would Give U More Room.

I'm probably the only one thinking this but it's too bad no one makes a taller tire because with the truck height the way it is it looks like the truck just rolled up from Mexico.

If it was a tad lower it would loow F'ing sweet! Ahh well, such is life with a truck, we can't have it all without sacrificing something.

Looking good man, can't wait to see how much better it hooks. Ohh, BTW, what tire pressure you going to run in the front tires? I ask because generally speaking Nittos only hook really good once they are down to about 16psi and heated thoroughly but since they are on the front I don't see how you could heat them or run them that low in PSI.

i agree with you. it looks like it is from south of the border and i knew it would, a 31" tall DR would be soo nice. i am going to see how much more i can drop the front with the tortion bars, i might be able to get another 1/2" out of it. i have the lowering spring brackets for the rear so i can get another 1 or 2" back there.

i am debating on running these all the time or just at the track. if i run them all the time then i can get some drop spindles for the front and get 2" there, that would be the right way to do it.

i am 4wd but it is about the same thing. they do sell drop spindles for us, i think it is a 2" drop and requires a 18" wheel minimum. thats where the problem is, if i do the drop then i have to run the 18's.

maybe i could find a cheap set of 18's+ with some nice street tires and have those for when i dont want the DR's some stock ss wheels would look good. then i could do the drop.

i just went for a nice test drive, there is a slight sqeek at the back window where the bar goes thru, thats the only noise i could hear. i am suprized that it isn't making all kinds of noises. it actualy feels stiffer, no funny vibrations or any other extra noises yet. going to do a little tuning on it and head to the dyno late tonight.

if there is time i think we will do a quite a few runs. start out with closed exhaust and pump gas, turn that up, then try adding some meth and see how far that goes. eventualy open the exhaust and then finialy if needed put in a little race fuel. i am not going to mess around much here, if i see any real knock at all i am going to let off and go on to some better fuel or add more meth. should be fun.
